Rick O'Bey

Rick began playing the drums in a Jazz combo in the Hollywood Hills in the late '60s. This led to starting a rock band called The Deacons for after dinner music and dancing. The Deacons played at many local parties, bars and restaurants including The Opera House on the Sunset Strip. The Deacons went on to make several records, including a Casey Kasum pick hit called Crazy Love. The group appeared in a movie called "Summer Children" and eventually disbanded when Rick and the lead guitar player/singer left to do their duty in the US Navy. After his Navy service he has played with several groups on an intermittent basis and has teamed up with Steve to form Dually Noted and plays a Box Drum otherwise known as a Cajon.
